(Rumex Hestatus) रुमेक्स हेस्टैटस एक औषधीय घास है जिसके नाम पर अल्मोड़ा की पहाड़ी का नाम रखा गया है

"अल्मोड़ा उत्तराखंड के कुमाऊं क्षेत्र का मुख्य जिला और शहर है। चंद राजाओं ने अल्मोड़ा की स्थापना की। अल्मोड़ा का पुराना नाम राजापुर था। बाद में इस क्षेत्र में रुमेक्स हेस्टेटस नामक अधिक घास की उपस्थिति और इस क्षेत्र में इसके अधिक उपयोग के कारण इस घास के कुमाऊँनी नामों के बाद इस शहर का नाम अल्मोड़ा रखा गया, भीलमोड़ा, चालमोरा। क्योंकि यह घास अल्मोड़ा क्षेत्र में अधिक पाई जाती है। उस समय कटारमल सूर्य मंदिर में बर्तन साफ ​​करने के लिए इस घास का बड़े पैमाने पर इस्तेमाल किया जाता था।"

कुमाऊंनी में वैज्ञानिक नाम रुमेक्स हेस्टैटस वाले पौधे को चालमोरा, चालमोरा, भीलमोड़ा, भीलमोड़ा आदि नामों से जाना जाता है। चालमोड़ा को हिन्दी में चुरकी, चुरकी, चुरका, चुरका या खट्टा पालक भी कहते हैं। पंजाबी में इसे खट्टीमल, कट्टमल कहते हैं। भीलमोड़ा को अंग्रेजी में ARROWLEAF DOCK कहते हैं।

यह पौधा Polygonaceae (POLYGONACEAE) परिवार का है। यह एक से दो फीट ऊंचे झाड़ी के रूप में उगता है। इसमें असंख्य छोटे गुलाबी फूल गुच्छों के रूप में उगते हैं। यह पौधा पहाड़ों में अधिक होता है। यह पौधा भारत के लगभग सभी हिमालयी राज्यों में पाया जाता है। इसके साथ ही यह पौधा नेपाल जैसे पहाड़ी इलाकों में भी पाया जाता है।

यह पौधा सांस की बीमारी, खांसी, फेफड़े और बुखार में भी लाभकारी होता है। इसके अलावा अगर आपके शरीर में कहीं कट लग जाए तो भीलमोड़ा (चरकी) की पत्तियों को पीसकर या हथेली में कुचलकर घाव को पूरी तरह से भर देना चाहिए। थोड़ी देर में घाव भी भर जाएगा और दर्द भी काम करेगा।

इसमें एंटीसेप्टिक और एंटी-इंफ्लेमेटरी गुण होते हैं जो मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिए बहुत फायदेमंद होते हैं। यह दर्द निवारक के रूप में भी काम करता है। इसके तने, जड़ और पत्तियों का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

This plant belongs to the family Polygonaceae (POLYGONACEAE). It grows as a shrub one to two feet high. In this innumerable small pink flowers grow in the form of clusters. This plant is more in the mountains. This plant is found in almost all the Himalayan states of India. Along with this, this plant is also found in mountainous areas like Nepal.

This plant is also beneficial in respiratory disease, in cough, lung and fever. Apart from this, if you get a cut somewhere in your body, then you should fill the wound completely by grinding the leaves of Bhilmora (Charaki) or crushing it in the palm. In a while the wound will also be cured and the pain will also work.

It has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which are very beneficial for human health. It also acts as a pain reliever. Its stem, root and leaves are used.
